Why ads and clipboard history do not mix
A clipboard manager with no ads is not a nicety. Clips include Wi-Fi passwords, street addresses, message drafts, and sometimes codes you meant to paste once. An ad SDK in that app is another party sitting next to that text.
Clipper-style apps on Play have long used ads on the free tier. That is a reasonable business for a flashlight. It is a poor fit for a clipboard.
What “no ads” should mean in the listing
- No banners in the history list or over the keyboard panel.
- No advertising SDK in the Data safety form.
- Limits expressed as a pay-once unlock, not “watch a video to copy.”
Soloclip has no ads on free or Pro. The free gate is the last 25 text clips. Pro is $3.99 once for unlimited history, pins and snippet folders, the keyboard insert panel, and the Quick Settings pinned strip.
